Describe what your company or organization does. Who is your target-audience?

Hello,
we are a small family business with a total of 12 employees. We are based near Nuremberg in Bavaria, Germany. We`re working in the field of crafts and here especially in the areas of: plumbing, heating, tiles and energy systems. Our customers are around 30-45 years old and expect superior service and don´t want standard, they prefer quality.
The company was founded in 1991 by my father, Manfred Reisser. The Name of the Company is “M. Reisser GmbH”. My father passed away in 2016 at the age of 54. Today I run the business and, after more than 30 years on the market, I would like to change and modernize a few things. Among other things, our Marketing/Logo/Image. I intend to build up a Brand with the Company that could live on independently of the current name (M. Reisser). The logo should be simple but meaningful. It should stand for: reliability, durability, quality and a bit of exclusivity.
We want to be sustainable and innovative in the future. We want to be a part of the green Energy Transition of tomorrow.

Description

I have absolutely no Imagination for the design of the logo itself and I am also open to something completely 'different' or 'unthinkable'.
I have two ideas in mind when it comes to the logo. Since an interest in our children's successor is not certain (1 year), it should be considered that the company could possibly be sold in 10-15 years.
That’s why I have the two considerations:
• Firstly, a Logo with the initials MR. Which would be really nice and include the founder of the company. We could incorporate a certain form of tradition and history. In this way, however, the name (M. Reisser) would always be associated with the company. A sale would “complicate” this since it is not a 'neutral' logo.
Or
• A logo, not related to the name but to the activity (craft, building services, green energy, heating, tiles, bathrooms). This would be independent of the name or Initials “MR”, since the logo stands for itself and the company could then be called 'John Sinclair', for example.
The current Colours of our company are dark blue (navy) and a bright yellow (should go more into the yellow/orange like RAL 1012 in the future). In addition, the new logo should also be able to be displayed in black and white. You can find examples of our Colors or our vehicle lettering on our website: www.mreisser.de
