target-audience: Shanti Yoga offers classes in yoga and meditation.

The primary target group are individuals, who want to 'treat themselves'. And it doesn't matter if their interest in yoga is to improve their flexibility, strength and body awareness, or if they are looking for relaxation and stress reduction or if they are interested in the philosophy of yoga. Every one has different needs and that's why Shanti Yoga offers different styles of yoga classes.
Other target groups are companies and schools who want to offer yoga classes for their employees or students.

Philosophy of Shanti Yoga:
Yoga is doing something with awareness/mindfulness. In the yoga classes we take time to observe ourselves, our movements, our breathing, our energies. Like this we come more and more into the present moment. In my yoga classes the physical aspect (perfect yoga postures) is less important. What's more important is that the practitioners discover the more subtle sensations and levels. Like this a feeling of connection with the core/the deep self can develop.

About the name: Shanti means inner peace. Yoga is a path to inner peace. When working mindfully with body and breath one can experience how the mind slows down and becomes still. A feeling of deep inner peace and happiness develops.
Description: The logo should feel light and be clear and simple. It should project peace and inner strength. Something between wellness ("this feels good"-feeling" and spirituality/meditation. Also see explanations above regarding the name Shanti and the philosophy of Shanti Yoga.

It shouldn't be too colourful and go well with the colours and the look and feel of the existing website. Sizewise it can be one or two lines in height.

The logo can, but doesn't have to, reflect a yoga posture, as long as it doesn't look to much like gymnastics.

Slogans which I'm using are:
- Get more energy - find inner peace/calm
- Movement - strength - relaxation - calm

In the past I have used pictures of either and orchid or a yoga posture for flyers or advertisements (see attached files). The logo can be based on these ideas/pictures, but can also be something different.
