Logo for a Film Lighting Rental

This short briefing was written by a client:

I lend professional lighting equipment for film productions and I also work as lighting technician on set with my own equipment.
The Logo should be media affine, clear and modern.

Description

I made a logo myself (logofls.jpg) but was never really satisfied, see why...
The round thing on the left is a stylized spotlight with so called barndoors on top and left which edge the circle (the lens) in the middle.
Template was a photo of a professional spotlight (enstehung.jpg).

Found another similar idea (taglighting.jpg), but horrible executed.

Played first with "grooves" (concentric circles) of a fresnel lens (logofls_alt.jpg). Could be an inspiration...see also the logo of another lighting rental company (maier.png)

Colors: reddish, warm, maybe a bit of grey

Playing with lightsource and shaddow would be great...
